![]() I'm sorta ranting/raging, but after waiting for this engine and it's character generator I'm left disappointed in it's limitations. Heck, Let's just say if anyone is willing to take on a project of converting the clothes, accessories, hair, etc from those three DLC/premium packs to have everything ready for MV side view battle system, I'd be willing to pay them $20-40 USD per pack. In fact, if you could somehow convert the sprites for the Future Works, Fantasy Hero and Dark Fantasy hero DLC packs to have side view battle sprites I'd be super happy and willing to pay for the whole packs again. I did purchase many many DLC packs for VX Ace, and I'd happily pay for as many parts for the generator as you can think of. I know I can go in and manually edit the gradients file, but man, that's pretty rough though, as I'll have to do that multiple times for the project I am working on.Īlso, the clothes and accessories are pretty bare. I don't like the color choices though, I can't make dark colored hair for instance. In reality, maybe it should follow the DLC model like GENE, SAKAN and MADO did.First off, I do like the generator. Degica needs to put some reigns on GCH and get in control of the situation if another version released to accompany a new RPGM. After tons of complaints, all they did was offer a loyalty discount for a limited time (which many people ended up not hearing about and missing out on - which created a whole other rucus).īasically - the reputation is so trashed that I don't think a follow up GCH for the next RPGM would be wise. You can open it using Photoshop/GIMP/CLIP Studio/PaintTool Sai or any program with. They are compiled in a PSD and ordered by layer and folders. Export sprite sheets as PNG into RPG Maker MV (and other versions) - Randomizer for quick creation - Save sheets as templates to easily build upon and modify later Future Development: I will probably commission some more character parts for the tool during the development my game, and I will update it through Steam periodically. Hidden away in the dark recesses of our hard disks. This was one of the worst receptions and Sebastien handled the whole thing fairly poorly. With the newest iteration of RPG Maker we got a reworked graphic style which sadly blocks us from using MV generator parts in MZ. Children Generator Parts Some generator parts we had but isn't compatible with generator and eventually had to be scrapped. I'm not sure there will be another one for whichever RPGM follows after RMMV. Either that or Sebastien is even less respectable than already imagined. I think the old one is only available still because so many people put VX Ace content in the workshop for it. Yeah - GCH:PE hasn't been able to get positive reviews yet because it's so flooded with people angry that the promise to add RMMV support in the original GCH never happened.īut for newcomers to GCH, they don't really need to worry about it and just make sure to buy GCH:PE and not the old one. Was hoping I might get some advice from people here. some say "plugin" (but never say which one, and Yanfly doesn't seem to have a "character generator" plugin), others say to mess with game folders (paraphrased). I was just wondering how one goes about placing them in the generator so that can be used -I've searched for a tutorial on this in the forums and online, but I cannot find a consistent answer. hairstyles or facial expressions that default characters have that are not available in the generator as it is). but I have seen a number of things that would be useful in these "generator parts" (things like. Also to maintain the look of a child I highly recommend using the second head type for males (with the pointed chin) and for female the child head included. Hair and some Parts that show on/near hair are 100 Fine. Among the things I was doing was making custom characters with the generator and saving a ton of facial expressions to be able to change the character picture based on their current "mood". They have been around for a while, so I dunno if they work with the new functionality ie 'Kid' generator. They all look sorta off, but maybe they'd look better with some tweaks. I'm at a section of my game where I have enough working that I have started going over it to make it look nicer. This person on RPGMWeb seems to have the only usably-sized stock of generator parts for children. So in my sprite and SV battler browsing, I've noticed a lot of "character generator" parts. ![]()
